Hike Description
This is a great hike to a series of four small lakes in a narrow valley. The lakes are well known for their great fishing. Like Lake Bourgeau you can see the fish jumping from and swimming in the water. From the trailhead the trail is well worn and well packed with sure footing. There are no intersections. The trail starts out relatively flat and then begins to climb along the ridge above Lantern Creek. The picture below was taken where the trail first opens with a view of Junction Mountain.

The trail continues towards Junction Mountain gaining elevation steadily and then climbs steeply on the west side of the mountain (left side depicted in the above photograph). When I say steep, it is a killer gaining 140 meters elevation in 400 meters distance. After the climb there is a short descent into the valley to the first lake. You can continue hiking on for an additional kilometer and see all four lakes.
The first of the four lakes is depicted below.
