Cat Creek Waterfall

Hazards on trail
Hike Description
This is a small waterfall, I would guess 12-15 feet in height but it is one of the better interpretative trails I have come across. The area surrounding the trail used to have the predecessor to highway #40 running through it and was actively used to mine coal in the past.
From the trailhead you will climb and cross Highway #40 and then follow Cat Creek for approximately 1.25 kilometers to the falls. The hillside above the highway is covered with wildflowers. The Elevation Profile shows the profile for the hike (one-way).
